Bob Burns retired in 2009 after a 35 year career with Hewlett-Packard and Agilent Technologies. Immediately prior to his retirement he served for 8 years as Vice President and General Manager of Agilent’s Nano Technology Measurements Division.
After receiving his BSEE from Lehigh in 1974, Bob joined HP in Palo Alto, California, where he worked as an R&D design engineer while continuing engineering studies at Stanford University. In 1980 he helped start up a new division of HP in Spokane, Washington where he led HP’s entry into digital wireless communications test, developing products used to design and manufacture more than 80% of the world’s cell phones. After returning to Silicon Valley, Burns led Agilent into new measurement businesses in nanotechnology.
Bob’s career has spanned many domains including wireless communications, semiconductor manufacturing, laser interferometers, precision optics, life sciences and nanotechnology tools such as AFMs, SEMs and fluorescence microscopes. He has led multi-discipline and multi-functional organizations across the U.S., Europe and Asia, and has successfully managed business acquisitions and divestitures.
Bob is married to Lori Burns, retired Director of the Santa Clara County Partnership for School Readiness. He and Lori enjoy making wine from their small backyard vineyard and riding their tandem bicycle in the surrounding countryside and beyond. Bob’s other interests include sailing, sculling, hiking, skiing and volunteering time to community service. Bob also serves on the advisory board of the college of engineering at Lehigh.

Peter was raised in Greece and Lebanon and is bilingual Greek/English and fluent in Spanish and French (along with basic Turkish, Urdu, Portuguese, German and Russian). He has resided in Pakistan, Turkey, Israel, Sudan, Nigeria, Greece, Denmark and Switzerland. Peter has business and cultural experience in over 80 countries and has worked as an entrepreneur in DNA forensics, energy services and infrared camera technologies
Peter has earned a BSBA in International Business and European Languages from Auburn University and MA Middlebury College Vermont in Russian Cultural Studies. Peter served as a special advisor on geo-political events to foreign governments on national issues. Currently, Peter is a current member of the US Department of Commerce Advisory Council, The US Global Leadership Coalition (USGLC) Advisory board and the US Congressional Advisory Board. Also, he serves on the board of directors for two technology companies.
Jeff McCay currently serves as President /Principal Partner of Top Five Inc. Top Five is a Chattanooga Tennessee based private equity company which has been in operation since 2006. Top Five currently holds majority interest in 6 operating companies in the East Tennessee region. These current companies include:
Prior to forming Top Five Inc. with his other two partners, Jeff served as General Manager / Managing equity partner of Modern Industries, a Tier 2 automotive component products company. Jeff oversaw the largest growth period in the company’s 15 year history and helped position the company for strategic acquisition by Leggett and Platt in 2004.
Prior to his time in the private sector Jeff worked for Johnson Controls for 17 yrs in their Automotive Systems Group. Jeff served in various operational roles within Johnson Controls including plant operations and M&A.
Will Overstreet is a former All-SEC football player and 3rd round draft pick in NFL Draft of the Atlanta Falcons. After retiring from football, he returned to the University of TN to earn his MBA in finance.
While pursuing his MBA he patented his first invention and started his first company. The early successes of his first company gave him have a passion and confidence to be a serial entrepreneur. Since that time he has started and sold several companies. His companies have worked with some of the most recognized brands in the world including Disney, Fox Sports, American Express, and Televisa.
Today, he advises and consults several startups and works with more experienced management teams and companies looking to expand into new markets or launch new offerings. He is loves networking, new technology, writing, reading, and all things digital marketing.
He resides in Knoxville, TN with his wife, Jennifer, and their two young boys, Tyson and Titus.
